AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer, Signaling and Train Control in California. This on-site role focuses on leading railway signaling and train control engineering for a major transportation project, including ETCS Level 2, CBTC, and related systems.

Travel up to 25–50% along the Central Valley alignment may be required. The role involves design review, testing, commissioning strategies, safety analysis, and regulatory coordination.

Formación

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
• Strong experience with railway signaling, train control, or rail systems engineering
• Experience with CBTC, PTC, ATP, or ATO systems
• Familiarity with EN 50126/28/29 and US rail regulations
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or IRSE membership preferred

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review, and approve signaling engineering deliverables across design, construction, testing and commissioning
• Ensure documentation is complete and aligned with program standards
• Support requirements management, system architecture development, and interface definition for train control
• Review supplier/contractor designs for compliance with specifications
• Coordinate interfaces between signaling, telecom, rolling stock, track, traction power and operations teams
• Provide technical oversight for ETCS Level 2, ARC, interlockings and Radio Block Centers
• Support safety cases, hazard analyses and regulatory approvals
• Develop and review test plans, procedures and commissioning documents
• Witness Factory Acceptance, Site Acceptance and System Integration testing
• Assist with revenue service handover and regulatory approvals
