Job summary

Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking experienced Signal Maintainers in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The role focuses on repair and maintenance of grade crossing signaling systems, train control devices, and related communications facilities along the railroad network.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred. Candidates should have strong problem solving skills, be detail oriented, and able to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Signal maintenance experience or training preferred.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and stay organized.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Mechanical comprehension and ability to read schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, test, and inspect grade crossing warning devices, train control systems, and related signals.
• Document work activities and inspections per DOT and FRA requirements.
• Respond to trouble calls for signal failures during and outside normal hours.
• Promote Herzog culture and safety behaviors; maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
