Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Railroad Signal Maintainer for CDL to test, maintain and improve signal systems at grade crossings and way-side locations in Hudson, Wisconsin, in compliance with FRA and CDL standards.

The role requires knowledge of electronics, reading wiring diagrams, and readiness for on-call duties, with strong teamwork and safety focus; full-time on-site employment with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, unless approved by upper management.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use a multimeter.
• Knowledge of basic electronics and electrical fundamentals.
• Familiar with rail operations and signaling principles.
• Willing to be On-Call and respond to Trouble Calls.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain and improve grade crossing warning systems.
• Follow FRA and CDL standards.
• Respond to dispatch and supervisor Trouble Calls.
• Keep paperwork: testing records, HOS forms, timesheets.
• Work independently with good time management.
• Be a team player and assist with other territories.
