The role is seniority-based and may require relocation after training, with on-call duties 24/7 and significant travel during the program. Qualified applicants must be 18+, hold a HS diploma or GED, have a valid driver’s license, and obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of hire.
• Must pass FRA drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain signal systems, including lights and switch machines.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Perform FRA inspections and testing of signal equipment and grade crossings.
• Be available for on‑call work 24/7, including nights and weekends.
• Extensive travel during training (up to 75%).
• Join the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS) within 60 days of establishing seniority.
