Job summary

Cando is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead day-to-day shift execution and ensure safe, customer-oriented, cost-effective responses to industrial switching needs. You will coordinate safety initiatives, workflows, and daily operational needs at sites.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and adherence to safety policies, with opportunities to advance as the company expands across the US. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a leadership position, preferably in rail switching.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems in an industrial environment.
• One year experience developing and managing capital and operating budgets.
• Experience managing railway personnel in a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and incident reporting across sites.
• Coordinate site operations, safety policies and daily workflows.
• Supervise contractors, ensuring training and compliance on site.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll activities, and training coordination.
• Develop and manage budgets, procurement, and cost controls.
