Job summary

King County Metro Transit's Rail Division is seeking a Rail SCADA Systems Specialist Lead to coordinate the work of Rail SCADA Specialists and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of SCADA communications across rail facilities. The Rail SCADA Lead reports to the Rail SCADA Chief and drives preventive maintenance programs and data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of SCADA, communications, network applications, software and hardware.
• Skill in installing, maintaining, and modifying applicable software and hardware.
• Strong communication in conveying technical information to non-technical users.
• Experience in maintaining technical documentation and configuration control.
• Must be a people leader with good communication skills and a result driven attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan workload, prioritizing and assigning work schedules.
• Train other Rail SCADA System Specialists.
• Assign work; control and monitor workflow; ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Train new employees and be the point of contact for assistance.
• Provide feedback on employee performance and teamwork as well as attendance issues.
• Maintain records and enter data using automated systems.
