Job summary

Patriot Rail Company is seeking a Facilities & Safety Manager to spend time on the train, on the platform, and across the property, actively identifying hazards and ensuring safe guest movement.

You will support guest services, special events, car hosting, concessions fulfillment, and light maintenance while coordinating with Excursion Mechanical Manager on contractor work, safety, and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Maintain a visible and approachable presence around guests and employees.
• Monitor guest movement and behavior in boarding areas, platforms, train cars, and other operational areas.
• Assist guests with boarding, deboarding, accessibility needs, and general questions.
• Help ensure that safety procedures are followed without compromising guest experience quality.
• Provide support during VIP experiences, special events, and high-volume days.
• Ride every passenger train and be onboard Safety.
• Step into car host or guest-service responsibilities when needed.
• Support concessions fulfillment and other guest-service functions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily train preparation and operational readiness.
• Adding water to the train as needed.
• Supporting train servicing tasks, including water and sewage procedures when trained.
• Washing or assisting with washing the exterior of the train as needed.
• Monitoring the condition of passenger cars, platforms, equipment, and guest-access areas.
• Owning minor facilities maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Owning maintenance and repairs to excursion interiors and coordinating with contractors as needed.
• Reporting major repair issues to operations personnel and coordinating corrective actions.
• Assisting with special events and other operational projects.
