Job summary

TransitAmercia Services, Inc. in Oakland, CA seeks a Safety and Compliance Supervisor to oversee safety programs for a commuter railroad, including operations, track, signals and mechanical forces.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge and hands-on leadership to align safety with project goals. The position reports to the Safety Director and entails audits, incident investigations, training, reporting, and close collaboration with FRA, CPUC and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated management of safety programs for commuter or passenger railroad.
• Experience implementing and maintaining safety programs and records.
• Ability to respond to emergencies 24/7.
• Experience leading safety plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of all safety activities, programs and guidelines for a commuter railroad.
• Implementation and maintenance of corporate safety programs at project level.
• Audit preparation and regulatory program evaluation (FRA, CPUC, OSHA).
• Develop and coordinate safety training programs.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual safety reports.
