Hitachi Rail USA is seeking a Lead - Quality Control Engineer to oversee QA activities across Rolling Stock operations. This role leads quality personnel, drives improvements, and ensures compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Management is essential. The successful candidate will develop and maintain quality systems, review supplier quality documentation, and coordinate inspections, audits, and corrective actions to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field plus quality experience in manufacturing.
• CQE certification is preferred and leading QA teams is expected.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control team across manufacturing and inspection activities.
• Develop and enforce quality plans and corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and supplier quality documentation.
• Monitor performance against project objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as liaison with customer inspectors and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Review test plans, inspections, and non-conformances for timely resolution.
