Job summary

Savage Services seeks a Supervisor, Operations - Industrial Rail in Lima, OH to lead rail, coke, and transloading activities for the Cenovus refinery, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

You will mentor crews, balance field and office work, and coordinate with management to keep workloads on track while maintaining a culture of safety and dependable performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expert in one or more operation areas.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, background checks, drug screen.
• Ability to pass OSHA, HazMat, and FRA related courses.
• Able to fulfill a rotating schedule (days, nights, 24/7/365).
• Current/valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead in Safety by setting an example and ensuring procedures are followed.
• Work with team members to provide growth opportunities and cross-training.
• Be a presence in the field, balancing in-field and office work.
• Participate in hiring, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure crews are on time and prepared to work.
• Serve as incident commander during emergencies in the absence of the Operations Manager.
• Coordinate with units to meet customer expectations and plan workforce.
