Job summary

CN is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead day-to-day rail operations within a territory or terminal, ensuring safe, timely train departures and compliance with rules. The role will involve coaching unionized crews, learning internal procedures, and coordinating with Trainmasters to meet service commitments in a 24/7 operation.

The position requires industrial supervision experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to plan workload with Rail Traffic Control while maintaining

Qualifications

• Industrial work experience in a safety-compliant environment.
• 4 years of supervisory experience (management or with unionized employees).
• 3 years of experience on railroad as conductor.

Responsibilities

• Attend Front Line Supervisor Development Programs to learn rules and procedures.
• Coach unionized employees on safe, productive work procedures.
• Oversee train operations to meet service commitments safely and efficiently.
• Monitor safety performance and respond to incidents with Trainmaster/Assistant Superintendent.
• Plan workload with Rail Traffic Control to meet service plans.
