Job summary

CSX Corporation seeks a Manager Train Operations (MTO) to lead frontline transportation across assigned terminals and line-of-road territories. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient execution of the operating plan while delivering strong safety, service, productivity, and cost outcomes.

The MTO supervises transportation employees, sets clear expectations, coaches staff during onboarding, reinforces standards, and creates accountability for results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CSX Operations with Current Conductor Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; supervisory experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily terminal and line-of-road operations safely and efficiently.
• Anticipate challenges, coordinate crews/resources, and make timely decisions.
• Monitor performance, identify root causes, and implement improvements.
• Engage customers to understand service requirements and address concerns.
• Develop and coach conductors during OJT, enforcing safe work practices.
