Qualifications

• Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to stay vigilant in safety-sensitive settings.
• Strong situational awareness for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Comply with federal, state and railroad safety regulations.
• Work with trainer or supervisor and follow instructions.
• Coordinate train movements using signals and radio instructions.
• Operate track switches to determine routes and ensure safe operations.
• Read rule books and inspect equipment for safety during movement.
• Connect air hoses and electrical components between locomotives or railcars.
