Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Mechanical Operations Supervisor in Brunswick, MD to lead and optimize maintenance for MARC services. You will oversee daily mechanical operations, align with maintenance standards, and coordinate schedules with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable rolling stock.

The role emphasizes predictive maintenance using CMMS (Maximo or similar), Lean improvements, safety culture, and training across teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in mechanical systems diagnostics and maintenance planning using CMMS platforms like Maximo.
• 5 years experience with rail or vehicle systems including HVAC, braking, propulsion.
• Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation for troubleshooting and repair.
• Commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement in operational performance.
• Must be able to travel throughout the MARC operating territory.
• Possess a valid driver's license, or able to obtain.
• Must be able to work M-F 3PM-11PM.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mechanical operations ensuring scalability and alignment with Alstom's maintenance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and resource allocation.
• Ensure reliability of rolling stock through predictive maintenance and root cause analysis using CMMS tools.
• Drive innovation by implementing continuous improvement initiatives and Lean methodologies.
• Promote knowledge sharing and technical training across maintenance teams to strengthen operational capability.
• Work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility.
