Job summary

Smart Sand, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Logistics Utility to support rail loading operations at our Blair, WI facility. This full-time role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in loading sand into railcars, performing inspections, sampling, and coordinating with locomotive operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Conductor certification or 1-year rail yard experience with switching required.
• Proficient in computer operations.
• Able to troubleshoot issues in Load Outs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Locomotive Operator on hopper car spots and movement.
• Inspect hopper car for product loading and quality.
• Pull samples from rail cars and document for QA testing.
• Load hopper cars according to procedures, quality standards, and safe practices.
• Maintain loading records and secure loaded hopper cars.
• Communicate issues to management.
• Perform minor repairs and switch operations on railcars.
