Job summary

Smart Sand Inc. is seeking a Logistics Operator for our Oakdale, WI facility. The role involves loading sand into railcars, inspecting hopper cars, and coordinating movements with the Locomotive Operator to ensure safe, compliant shipments.

The position requires a high school diploma, willingness to work any shift, and a strong commitment to safety. Prior rail or refinery experience and MSHA training are a plus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior rail, transload, or refinery experience preferred.
• MSHA training and experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load finished sand into railcars following procedures and safety standards.
• Inspect hopper cars and loading equipment before/after loading.
• Coordinate with Locomotive Operator on spots and movement.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation.
• Operate and maintain loading unit equipment as required.
• Safely secure loaded hopper cars and complete required records.
• Communicate issues to management as they arise.
• Read and follow loading procedures to meet quality and weight limits.
• Assist with minor railcar repairs and adjustments.
• Work with management to ensure safe rail operations.
