Job summary

MP Engineers + Architects seeks an experienced Inspections Manager to lead construction inspection activities for public rail-related infrastructure in Secaucus, NJ. You will supervise inspectors, ensure QA/QC adherence, and enforce contract requirements and safety regulations on major heavy civil projects.

The role focuses on field oversight, reporting, and coordination with engineers, contractors, and regulators to maintain quality and schedules on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in construction inspection with heavy highway, bridge, and roadway projects.
• At least 3 years in supervisory or management roles overseeing inspectors.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, contract administration, and infrastructure standards.
• Ability to read complex drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Experience reviewing inspection reports and progress documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of construction inspectors and provide technical guidance.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and field visits to ensure quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with contract drawings, specs, codes, permits, and regs.
• Review daily inspection reports and project documents for accuracy.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress, schedules, and resources; identify delays and risks.
• Advise on safety procedures and project-specific requirements.
• Support project coordination and close-out activities.
