Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Field Structural Inspector for rail projects at our Brooklyn, NY office. This on-site role supports the Construction Management Team and ensures project objectives are met.

You will review shop drawings, provide engineering support during construction, and coordinate with subcontractors. Nights and weekend 12-hour shifts are required, with travel within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of railroad construction experience.
• Knowledge of typical structural steel repairs and reviewing shop drawings.
• ICC Bolting and Welding Certification.
• Ability to pass Safety Training.
• Proficient in Windows/Outlook/Word/Excel and scheduling applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager/Client Management team as directed.
• Review shop drawings and provide engineering support during construction.
• May provide technical guidance to staff, contractors, and/or vendors.
• Check designs and drawings for accuracy.
• Experience with Rail Outage and schedules; Nights/Weekend 12-hour shifts.
