Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Rail Fabricator in Oakdale, CA. The role focuses on welding, fabrication, assembly, and repair of structural steel components to meet blueprints and production standards.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of rail fabrication experience, be able to read fabrication drawings, and pass a welding test. Pay is $30 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities in a manufacturing environment.

• Operate shop power tools and hand tools safely.
• Maintain and properly store equipment after use.
• Assist in various production areas as needed.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of structural steel fitting experience
• Must have experience reading and interpreting shop fabrication drawings
• Minimum 2 years of handrail and guardrail fabrication experience
• Experience with band saws required
• Pipe bender experience preferred
• Must pass a welding test

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Rail Fabricator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.
