Job summary

FMW Solutions in Soddy-Daisy, TN, just outside Chattanooga, seeks dedicated welders/fabricators to join our shop team. We provide railroad contracting and consulting across mechanical design, locomotive servicing, rail operations, safety, and training.

Candidates must pass SMAW plate tests, read blueprints, and fabricate within tight tolerances; inspections experience is a plus. We emphasize safety, teamwork, and clear communication, with background checks and drug testing on the way.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass SMAW plate 2g and 3g weld tests.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Fit and fabricate within 1/32" tolerance.
• Background in visual inspection is a plus.
• Proficient in SMAW and FCAW.
• An operational understanding of SWPS, WPS, WPQR.
• Pipe fitting experience is a plus.
• Must be committed to working safely.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be a team player and a good communicator.
• Must be able to pass pre-screening and random drug and alcohol testing.
