Job summary

BNSF Railway in Fort Worth, TX is hiring a Dispatcher Trainee to coordinate train movements, optimize traffic flow, and ensure timely maintenance within a safety-driven, unionized environment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have 4-year degree or equivalent combination of post high school education and/or work/military experience.
• Able to work safely in the above working conditions.
• Able to work the above shift/hours.
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location.
• Able to read, write and communicate English clearly using a variety of devices.
• Able to visually distinguish colors on screen and distinguish sounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient movement of trains over an assigned district according to operating and safety rules.
• Optimize track inspection, repair and improvement time for maintenance efficiency.
• Analytically plan and manage assigned territory.
• Maintain detailed records of train movements and track maintenance schedules.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment with changing priorities.
• Relate to safety rules and union agreements as part of daily duties.
