BNSF Railway is seeking Conductor trainees for the Transportation department in the Chicago area. You will learn to manage train operations, safety protocols, and on-site tasks essential to safe freight movement across the network.

The role requires willingness to work full-time hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays), travel as needed, and participate in company-paid training at the Overland Park training center. Relocation is not offered.

Qualificações

• Able to work now and in the future without sponsorship
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
• Comfort with shift work, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to travel as required
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Safety-conscious with ability to follow strict protocols

Responsabilidades

• Operate track switches and derails to route trains
• Inspect trains and equipment per federal regulations
• Monitor and report daily work using various devices
• Engage in safety conversations and follow PPE requirements
• Participate in on‑the‑job and classroom training up to 19 weeks
