Hatch Ltd. in Houston, TX is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Rail) to support the Infrastructure group and collaborate with global offices. The role is based in our Houston, TX office with some remote work flexibility.

You are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and you should be willing to travel and work onsite. Prior co-op or internship experience is preferred, with opportunities to contribute to complex projects worldwide.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Organize and work with technical groups in delivering project deliverables, interfacing with rail and terminal operations, signaling, wayside monitoring, and related systems.
• Prepare civil engineering analyses and reviews including grade and track alignments, cost estimates, design reports, and drawings.
• Interface and communicate with team on project tasks.
• Support business development, including proposals and estimating deliverables.
• Participate in internal and external development and training activities.
• Support development of models and drawings with accurate layouts.
