Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Material Handler II to safely operate onsite rail equipment and perform TPIC duties, overseeing loading/unloading of co-products and raw materials. The role involves daily material movement, equipment operation, and maintaining a safe, efficient facility.

The candidate will monitor control room operations, assist maintenance and operators, and ensure quality and safety standards. Requires durable physical work, shift flexibility, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Passed locomotive operator training provided by the company.
• Has or can obtain a TPIC 8‑hour certificate.
• Has or can obtain a TSA TWIC card.
• Material handling; forklift, rail mover and heavy equipment preferred.
• Good reading, writing, communication and mathematics abilities.
• Hard working, self‑motivated individuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate rail mover equipment, rail switches, and oversee dock loading operations.
• Maintain a clean facility and stock inventory.
• Complete required paperwork and monitoring protocols.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly operational reports.
• Sample, load and unload bulk liquids and co-products by railcar, truck, and/or barge.
• Operate forklift and other mobile equipment to support material supply and production flow.
• Maintain logs, safety records and follow environmental and safety policies.
• Participate in safety programs and TPM/Six-Sigma initiatives.
