Job summary

Union Pacific Corporation in BISMARCK, MO invites Bridge & Building Carpenters to join a team repairing railroad infrastructure. You will perform carpentry work related to construction, maintenance, and repair of bridges and buildings under foreman supervision, enabling safe, efficient train movement.

Qualifications include reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and holding a valid driver's license with CDL A or B or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL Class A or B, or able to obtain one within probationary period.
• Proficient verbal and written communication to coworkers and supervisors.
• Able to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Able to read and understand instructions (e.g., operating rules, bulletins, etc.).
• Must complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Paint, frame, and install bridge timbers.
• Conduct masonry repairs on bridges (forms, piling, concrete work).
• Undertake construction/repair tasks for culverts, bridges, and buildings.
• Foster positive working relationships and manage urgent situations.
• Adhere to safety, FRA regulations and railroad industry rules.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
