Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking Bridge & Building Carpenters in Missouri to perform carpentry work for bridges and buildings involved in railroad infrastructure maintenance. Responsibilities include painting, framing, installing bridge timbers, and masonry repairs to ensure safe, reliable rail infrastructure for customers across North America.

Prospective team members should be able to read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and hold a valid CDL (A or B) or obtain one during probation.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older
• Valid drivers license
• Experience using hand and power tools
• CDL Class A or B or ability to obtain one during probation
• Clear verbal and written communication to coworkers and supervisors
• Able to read and comprehend blueprints
• Able to understand instructions and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Paint, frame, and install bridge timbers.
• Construct masonry repairs on bridges including concrete forms, piles, pouring and finishing concrete.
• Undertake construction/repair work on culverts, bridges, and buildings.
• Foster positive working relationships and manage urgent situations while complying with FRA regulations.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
