Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Rail Brakeman to support Aggregate Production Operations at the Millville, WV quarry. The role focuses on safe railcar movement, loading and unloading, and coordination with locomotive crews across the site.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform inspections, and maintain accurate records while following MSHA regulations and company safety policies. Strong teamwork and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of quarry/mining/railroad experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to operate rail movements safely.
• Strong safety compliance with MSHA regulations.
• Ability to communicate using radios/hand signals.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate railcar movements and switching.
• Operate loaders and other quarry equipment to support production.
• Inspect railcars, tracks, switches for hazards or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with locomotive operators using radios and hand signals.
• Maintain records of rail movements and inspections.
• Perform general quarry labor, housekeeping and maintenance support.
