Job summary

RCAP Solutions, Inc. is seeking a RAFT Specialist to serve as the front-line contact for clients eligible for the RAFT program.

You will provide information and referrals, brief counseling, and may perform case management and education in budgeting, tenant rights, and related topics. You will collaborate with the Housing Consumer Education Center team to determine RAFT eligibility, assist clients with benefits, and maintain client data across internal systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience with income, assets, and credit reviews.
• Experience assisting clients with housing and economic stabilization barriers.
• Minimum of one year financial budgeting and reporting experience.
• Experience in Banking or Finance industry is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations.
• Strong clerical and data entry skills (filing, record-keeping, and document management).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with software systems.
• Bilingual skills; (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect initial intake and assessment for presenting and surrounding needs to walk-ins, phone clients, and others seeking services.
• Determine RAFT eligibility and access/management of benefits for eligible clients.
• Enter client information into internal databases including Cornerstone Tracker and Counselor databases.
• Provide housing program information and referrals to walk-ins, phone clients, and others.
• Obtain resources and services to address client needs including RAFT applications and housing applications.
• Provide information and referral, brief counseling, or extended case management.
• Collaborate with other Client Resources team members to provide counseling and/or case management.
• Develop partnerships with internal and external providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
• Provide case management and follow-up to connect clients to community supports.
• Make home visits on a limited basis for disabled or home-based needs.
• Prepare program reports for RCAP management and funders.
• Lead with integrity, empathy, empowerment, pride, and passion as part of our community.
