Job summary

RELI Group, Inc. is seeking a Medical Records Coder to perform intake and coding of medical records, entering data into the CMS tool with strict adherence to contractual guidelines.

The role supports the Project Director and requires certified coding credentials and experience with RADV guidelines. Primary duties include diagnosing coding for inpatient/outpatient records, validating documentation, and maintaining PHI confidentiality while meeting strict productivity targets and attendance

Qualifications

• Experience in coding general acute hospital (inpatient and outpatient) and/or multi-specialty physician office medical records.
• Certified coder credentialed by a recognized credentialing institution.
• Familiarity with ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle PHI securely.
• Ability to follow contract and organizational guidelines and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis coding of inpatient, outpatient, and physician office medical records per RADV guidelines.
• Enter data into encoder, CDAT, and other required software on a PC with accuracy.
• Conduct intake validity checks on medical records and verify physician specialty and dates of service.
• Review feedback from QA to improve accuracy and quality of work.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of medical records and PHI.
• Meet productivity and attendance standards as established by the customer and company.
• Collaborate with peers and customers to support team goals.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
