Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine radiological procedures, position patients, and ensure high-quality imaging. You will label images, educate patients about procedures, and help maintain infection control standards.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, NY licensure or a temporary permit, and have 6 months to 1 year of related experience. Position requires coordination with IDX/PACS and supervision of students.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from a two-year college; graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training or completion of radiology program within 6 months of offer.
• NY State licensed Radiologic Technologist or temporary permit under Public Health Law pending licensure.
• Temporary permit valid 180 days; permits expire 10 days after notification of licensure exam results.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiological procedures.
• Positions patients and provides education on procedures.
• Labels radiographic images per SOP.
• Maintains infection control and shielding where appropriate.
• Assists physician and supervises radiology students.
• Transmits images to PACS in a timely fashion.
• Records and schedules exams in IDX; maintains room cleanliness.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment repairs and unsafe conditions.
