Job summary

One Brooklyn Health is seeking a Radiology X-ray Technologist to perform radiographs and support patient safety in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include image acquisition, patient identification, RIS/PACS data entry, and adherence to safety protocols. NY State X-ray licensure or temporary license with 6-month progression is required, with future license completion expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an X-Ray technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct x-ray examinations with emphasis on safety, courtesy and privacy.
• Care for the patient during the x-ray examination per medical staff instructions.
• Render emergency assistance if needed.
• Identify patients and label images using markers; acquire images as ordered or on RIS/Control sheet.
• Process high quality diagnostic images to assist Radiologist in diagnosis and patient care.
• Enter patient information into RIS/PACS/Modality.
• Provide radiation protection measures for patients.
• Maintain imaging room in clean, neat condition.
• Notify supervisors of equipment issues that could affect safety.
• Perform other duties as required.
