Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• NYSDOH licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams is required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and relieves anxiety by explaining the procedure in layman's terms.
• Performs x-ray exams according to standards and positions patient for radiographs.
• Labels films, enters exam data, and maintains required documentation and logs.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures and reports abnormalities to Radiologist.
• Performs related duties as required.
