Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Diagnostic Specialist I to perform radiologic procedures, assist with patient flow in the x-ray area, ensure supplies, and maintain equipment and films. The role uses PACS for processing and registering x-ray studies for billing upon completion.

The candidate should be AMA approved in radiography with ARRT certification and preferably 1 year of radiography experience. This on-site position supports quality assurance and patient care across Mount Sinai

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiography program.
• 1 year minimum of experience taking radiographs preferred.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment and positions patients to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures.
• Maintains x-ray imaging records and equipment maintenance logs.
• Performs clerical duties related to administrative activities of the clinical x-ray area.
• Assumes full responsibility for the assigned area and QA of the x-ray portion.
• Schedules coverage and pursues ongoing continuing education.
