Job summary

X-Ray Associates of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Radiology Assistant / Tech Aide to join our ECIC team. This role provides essential workflow support to our radiologists by ensuring imaging studies, patient records, reports, and clinical communications are processed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a solid understanding of HIPAA privacy and security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain strict HIPAA privacy and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Review prior imaging studies and ensure current cases are complete and ready for radiologist interpretation.
• Monitor PACS/RIS systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Track case statuses with attention to STAT and ASAP studies.
• Pull comparison images from archives as needed.
• Process outside imaging studies and register/prepare images for interpretation.
• Import and register outside CDs and comparison exams into PACS/RIS.
• Assist with preparing and distributing CDs per HIPAA procedures.
• Review approved reports for errors and monitor report/fax workflows.
• Communicate with patients and referring offices about imaging and case status.
• Provide coverage and training for other Radiology Assistants as needed.
