Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Strong clinical knowledge to oversee complex patient care.
• Leadership and mentoring skills to manage staff and promote a positive work environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing and support staff, delegating tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and coaching.
• Oversee assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and flow.
• Ensure communication among physicians, patients, families, and departments; manage handoffs and huddles.
• Monitor patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization.
• Conduct rounds to evaluate care delivery and satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Lead education and professional development for nursing staff; train needs met.
• Respond to emergencies within the unit and provide leadership as needed.
