  We are seeking a Radiology Technologist who will maintain technical skills needed to perform radiography procedures and evaluate radiographs for technical quality. Must be competent in performing radiographic procedures in accordance with protocols established by staff radiologists.

  What You Will Do In This Role

  • Perform diagnostic procedures achieving high film quality.
  • Minimize film artifacts; clean cassettes as necessary.
  • Document procedures and all stat reads according to departmental policies.
  • Obtain patient history; assist radiologist during procedures, helping to put the patient at ease.
  • Notify supervisor of items needed from storeroom or vendors.
  • Demonstrate ability to shut down radiologic equipment and reboot computers.

  Qualifications

  Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills

  • High School Graduate (or GED); graduate from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
  • Experience: Completion of initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by the service line and department.

  Licenses, Certificates, or Registrations

  • Required: ARRT (R) or registry eligible, certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program, current BLS certification.
