Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time weekends-only role. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure image quality, and support patient care with compassionate service.

Required: 2-year/Associate degree, hospital radiology program, active ARRT and Florida CRT license, and BLS certification. You will operate with MEDITECH and maintain safety standards in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Florida radiologic license (CRT) and ARRT certification.
• Completion of a hospital-based Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Two-year/Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs (x-rays) to assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment.
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images for interpretation.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients while maintaining modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information prior to exams and use MEDITECH accurately.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and stock supplies; communicate with radiologist.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time opportunity. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications

• 2-year/Associate degree
• Hospital-based Radiologic Technology program
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
