Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department to provide clinical expertise and ensure high-quality, efficient care in a procedural setting.

You will join a team that supports one another while delivering patient-centered care. The role involves assisting physicians, ensuring equipment readiness, and monitoring patient condition throughout invasive radiology procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure and credentials required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of invasive radiology patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Assist physicians in procedures.
• Ensure appropriate equipment is available and room is prepared for procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and document findings.
• Continuously assess, monitor and communicate patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

1. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
2. You will assist physicians in procedures.
3. You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.
4. You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
5. You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.
6. You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

1. Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
2. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
3. NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
4. (RN) Registered Nurse
5. Associate Degree
6. No Travel Required
