Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a weekend-shift Radiology Technologist to join the Imaging Department. You will perform X-rays, fluoroscopy, portables, OR exams, and BD bone density studies as part of diagnostic imaging support.

The role requires completion of a Radiology Technology program and ARRT-R credential within 6 months of hire. BLS HCP certification and adherence to radiation safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
• ARRT-R credential required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient to ensure understanding and provide educational material.
• Transport patients to and from clinical areas and verify patient identity.
• Prepare patient for radiology exam by positioning and assisting with imaging.
• Follow radiation safety procedures to minimize unnecessary exposure.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
• Ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS with proper markers and data.
