Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist for a full-time weekend schedule (Fri–Sun, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment across multiple facilities in South Carolina. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $5,000 relocation assistance are available to eligible candidates.

You will perform high-quality radiographic exams, ensure accurate images, and follow radiation safety protocols under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for physician interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast agents as directed and under the supervision of a physician.
• Verifies patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.
• Positions patients appropriately and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
• Reviews images for quality and completeness and obtains additional images when necessary.
• Follows radiation safety practices and applicable departmental and regulatory standards.
• Documents examinations and patient information accurately in the appropriate electronic systems.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in accordance with department standards and infection prevention protocols.
