Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina Health is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist for weekend days (Fri-Sun, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM). You will perform high-quality radiographic exams, prepare contrasts, and ensure patient safety across multiple facilities in South Carolina.

ARRT registration and SC licensure are required, with BLS. Competitive pay, sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and shift differentials are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Must be registered with the ARRT, if not registered must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
• Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast agents under physician supervision.
• Verifies patient identification and orders prior to procedures.
• Positions patients safely and operates radiographic equipment effectively.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, privacy, and infection prevention.
• Reviews images for quality and obtains additional images as needed.
• Follows radiation safety and department/regulatory standards.
• Documents examinations and patient information in electronic systems.
• Maintains equipment and work areas per department standards.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology

ARRT registration (within 6 months of hire if not already registered)

Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
