OrthoCarolina is hiring a Radiology Technologist to provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and physician assistants at our Charlotte, NC location. The role emphasizes radiation safety, patient communication, and accurate image acquisition in an orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by ARRT and AMA.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist or registry-eligible per ARRT requirements.
• Current CPR certification recommended.

To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-usWe have an opportunity for a Radiology Technologist in our OrthoCarolina office.The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.Essential Functions:Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department.
