Job summary

OrthoCarolina is hiring a Part Time Radiology Technologist for our Ballantyne OUC office. You will provide diagnostic radiographs while protecting patients and staff from unnecessary radiation in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include patient communication, positioning, logging procedures, and assisting with patient flow. Prior ARRT/limited licensure and CPR are recommended, with a flexible 2-3 shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the ARRT and AMA.
• Registered Radiology Tech by ARRT or Limited Licensed Radiology Technologist certification.
• CPR certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic quality radiographs per departmental policy.
• Explain procedures and obtain clinical history from patients.
• Position patients and select exposure factors with radiation safety.
• Log procedures, process charges, and complete related paperwork.
• Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and stock supplies.
• Assist with patient transport and flow within radiology.

To learn more about Team OC please visithttps://www.orthocarolina.com/about-usWe have an opportunity with OrthoCarolina for a Part Time (8 hours per week) Radiology Technologist or Limited Licensed Radiology Technologist with our OrthoCarolina Ballantyne OUC office location.This position will be scheduled 2-3 shifts per week, with shifts either Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9:00pm or Saturday/Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm.*OUC clinic hours: Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9:30pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pmThe Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.Essential Functions:Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department. Assist with patient flow in the examination module(s) as directed by a supervisor.Skills and Abilities:Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment, (i.e. Siemens/GE/Philips).Skill in proficient use of various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.Skill in positioning patients properly and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.Observes safety and security procedures.Qualifications:Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or Limited Licensed Radiology Technologist certification obtained.Current CPR certification recommended.Employee TypePart Time - Benefits IneligibleQualificationsSkillsEducationCertificationsRegistered Radiology Tech - American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistLanguageWork ExperienceClinical Experience
