Job summary

OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC seeks a Radiology Technologist for the South Park office to perform diagnostic radiographs with attention to radiation safety. You will position patients, select exposure factors, and communicate procedures while maintaining clean exam rooms and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications include graduation from an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT registry eligibility or certification, and at least one year of orthopedic imaging experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the ARRT and AMA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with orthopedic background.
• ARRT registry eligible or certified as Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and perform diagnostic radiographs per department policy.
• Explain procedures, obtain clinical history and address questions.
• Log procedures and process charges and paperwork; transport patients as needed.
• Maintain clean examination rooms and stock supplies; ensure safety protocols.
• Assist with patient flow in examination modules as directed by supervisor.

To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-usWe have an opportunity for a Radiology Technologist in our OrthoCarolina South Park office.The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.Essential Functions:Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department.
