Responsibilities

1. Provides assistance to invasive cardiologist in diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional cardiac angiographic procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency, with optimal patient care. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Providing pre-procedural education to patients scheduled for cardiac procedures.
2. Preparing patients and equipment for procedures.
3. Maintaining a clean and efficient environment, including equipment and supplies.
4. Planning and implementing care for assigned patients, demonstrating knowledge of developmental stages.
5. Collecting, interpreting, and recording physiologic information in the cardiac cath lab.
6. Understanding and operating equipment used in diagnostic procedures.
7. Demonstrating proficiency in EP lab procedures and equipment.
8. Maintaining knowledge of cardiac catheterization and peripheral interventions.
9. Ensuring patient and laboratory safety, including radiation protection.
10. Providing accurate angiographic data collection and documentation.
11. Performing interventional procedures and maintaining skills per department standards.
12. Completing non-therapeutic functions as directed, such as medication delivery and inventory management.

Qualifications

Education: Spec. Procedure Tech. and BCLS required.

Experience: 1-3 years preferred.

Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and visual acuity. Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
