Sign-On Bonus Eligible

Provides technical assistance in diagnostic and interventional procedures using sterile and aseptic techniques. Acquires imaging and post-processing. Provides emergency services on call.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
• Radiologic Technologist certification through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners, or applicable state.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

For Pennsylvania locations:

• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Includes monitoring hemodynamic parameters, maintaining sterile technique, patient preparation, continuous patient monitoring, participating in on-call rotation, acting as code team, documenting procedures, participating in educational activities, instructing radiography students, maintaining specialization in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR, inventory management, and participating in performance improvement activities.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods wearing lead aprons.
• Lift, push, or pull at least 40 pounds.
• Sit for extended periods.
• Differentiate shades of gray on monitors or photographs.

Work Environment

• Clinical setting with exposure to moving parts, airborne particles, body fluids, chemicals, electrical shock, and radiation. Noise level is usually moderate.
• Maintain radiation safety protocols.

Skills and Abilities

• Professional communication with physicians and peers.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, image management, and interpreting instructions.
• Problem-solving abilities with limited standardization.
