Qualifications

Sign-On Bonus Eligible

Provides technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures utilizing sterile and aseptic technique. Acquires all imaging and post-processing. Provides emergency services on call.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

• For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography; Radiologist Technologist through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners or applicable state; obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• For Pennsylvania locations: Certified by ARRT in Radiography; obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

• Obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are general responsibilities of the role. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

1. Monitor and interpret Hemodynamic data.
2. Maintain sterile technique during procedures.
3. Ensure patient and unit confidentiality.
4. Prepare entry sites using sterile technique.
5. Monitor patient's ECG and blood pressure, document findings, and advise physicians accordingly.
6. Participate in on-call rotation for emergent procedures, available 24/7.
7. Act as code team member, initiating resuscitative measures under physician supervision.
8. Document procedures accurately, manage inventory, and bill procedures correctly.
9. Engage in educational opportunities and instruct radiography students.
10. Maintain specialization in Neuroradiology and Vascular IR procedures.
11. Participate in inventory management and performance improvement activities.
12. Prepare patients prior to procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand for long periods wearing lead aprons.
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling at least 40 pounds.
• Sit for extended periods.
• Differentiate shades of gray on imaging displays.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Clinical setting with exposure to moving parts, airborne particles, body fluids, chemicals, radiation, and electrical hazards. Noise level is usually moderate.
• Maintain radiation safety protocols.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Problem-solving skills with limited standardization.

• Call requirement: 45-minute callback time.
• Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
