Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
• Registered Radiology Technologist by ARRT-R.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography (x-ray) exams on patients, ensuring safety and quality.
• Obtains and records patient vital signs and explains procedures.
• Positions patients and selects imaging techniques for optimal images.
• Administers IV and contrast when necessary and follows radiation safety procedures.
• Enters and monitors patient data within the system.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment.
• May assist with ACR and other accreditation applications.
• Takes emergency call within the department and may float to other locations.
