Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform x-ray exams and support physicians in diagnosis. You may also perform complex modalities as needed. This role requires attention to radiation safety and patient comfort.

The successful candidate will have graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT-R certification, MRT license, and BLS/ALS. You’ll work in a collaborative team focused on high quality patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current BLS or ALS certification required.
• Texas MRT license or temporary license required.
• ARRT-R certification required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography (x-ray) exams on patients with adherence to radiation safety procedures.
• Prepares patients, records vital signs, and explains procedures to ensure comfort.
• Positions patients and selects imaging techniques to obtain high-quality images.
• Performs QA on radiology equipment and assists with accreditation processes as needed.
• May be required to work weekends and float to other locations; may assist with patient registration tasks.
