Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team. This PRN role involves operating x-ray equipment, including stationary units, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy, to provide physicians with diagnostic images.

You will help create a calm, patient-focused environment, educate patients on procedures, and support scheduling and billing while leveraging PACS for image management in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
